Fats from Fiction (FATQ's)

Isn’t tallow greasy and heavy?

Not when it’s whipped with natural oils. It melts in like butter, hydrating deeply without leaving your skin shiny.

Isn’t tallow outdated?

Hardly. Tallow is the OG of skincare — rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K. It’s been trusted for centuries to keep skin soft, supple, and resilient.

Won’t tallow clog my pores?

Nope. Tallow’s fatty acid profile mirrors human sebum, which makes it one of the most skin-friendly moisturizers out there.

Isn’t tallow just for grandmas?

Not anymore. From red-light therapy recovery to daily hydration, it’s making a modern comeback — luxe, natural, and seriously effective.

Is Roxanne only for red light therapy aftercare?

Roxanne was born for post–red light glow-ups, but she’s brilliant for so much more — daily hydration, overnight recovery, or soothing dry skin anywhere it needs love. Think of her as your all-round skin saviour with a rock ’n’ roll edge.

Does tallow have a smell?

Pure, clean-rendered tallow has almost no scent. Once blended with macadamia oil, honey, and essential oils, all you’ll notice is the subtle fragrance of each blend.

Skincare’s been feeding you fiction. Time for the facts.

Can I leave my tallow balm in the sun or a hot car?

Nope — best to keep it cool, fat lover! Our balms are natural and don’t contain stabilisers or preservatives, so they can soften or melt if left in direct sunlight or heat.
If this happens, don’t panic — just pop the jar in the fridge for 30 minutes and she’ll whip back into shape. The texture might change slightly, but the goodness stays the same.

Is tallow ethical and sustainable?

Yes. We source suet from Cadarga Born & Bred Beef, using what would otherwise be waste. It’s local, sustainable, and turns a by-product into skin-loving gold.

Can I use Fatify balms while pregnant or on little ones?

Our balms are crafted with natural ingredients like tallow, macadamia oil, and essential oils. However, out of an abundance of caution, Fatify products are not recommended for use during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, or on children.
